11 23 010 Removing and Installing/Replacing Vibration Damper (N73)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove engine splash guard.
Remove fan cowl. See 17 11 031 REPLACING FAN COWL (N73)
Remove fan. See 11 52 020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING FAN CLUTCH (N73)
Remove alternator drive belt. See 11 28 010 Replacing Alternator Drive Belt (N73)
Remove A/C compressor drive belt. See 11 28 010 Replacing Alternator Drive Belt (N73)

Release screws and remove vibration damper (1).

Installation:

Replace screws.

Tightening torque 11 23 3AZ. See 11 23 VIBRATION DAMPER

Vibration damper is secured on hub with an alignment pin (4).

Installation:

Position vibration damper (1) on hub.

Bore (2) for dowel pin.

Fit disk (3).

Assemble engine.

Remove all special tools.
