17 11 031 Replacing Fan Cowl (N73)

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Remove fan clutch. Refer to 11 52 020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING FAN CLUTCH (N73) .

Unfasten screws.

Remove front wall (1).

Unfasten screws.

Remove radiator cowling (2).

Unclip auxiliary fan cover and remove.

Unlock plug (1) on AUC sensor and disconnect.

Unclip plug connection (2).

If necessary, unclip AUC sensor (1).

Raise fan cowl (1) approx. 3 cm.

NOTE: For purposes of clarity, this work step is shown on the fan cowl after it has been removed.

Fold left retaining tab to fan cowl (1).

Remove fan cowl (1) towards top.

Installation:

Insert retaining tab (2) at bottom on module carrier.

Assemble engine.
