51 43 230 Removing And Installing / Replacing Trim On C-Pillar At Bottom Left Or Right

Special tools required:

00 9 317

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove rear ENTRANCE COVER STRIP
Remove REAR TRIM (C-PILLAR)

Version without electric rear seat adjustment only:

Remove REAR SEAT BACK

Version with electric rear seat adjustment only:

Remove SUPPLEMENTARY TRIM ON C-PILLAR AT BOTTOM

Partially detach mucket (1).

Release screw (2).

Detach side trim (3) in direction of arrow from retainers (4).

Unclipping side trim (1):

Carefully insert special tool 00 9 317 between decorative strip (2) and side trim (1)
Carefully press special tool to middle
Carefully pull off side trim (1) towards front
If necessary, disconnect plug connection for C-pillar trim

Installation:

Feed in pin (1) of side trim under oddments tray (2).

Make sure catch (3) is correctly engaged on decorative strip (4).

Feed out seat belt and remove trim.
