51 11 157 Replacing front bumper panel

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove FRONT BUMPER PANEL .
Remove LICENSE PLATE BASEPLATE
Remove BOTTOM MIDDLE GRILLE
Remove ORNAMENTAL SIDE GRILLE
Remove ORNAMENTAL TOP GRILLE
Remove and install FOG LIGHTS
Remove WIRING HARNESS
Vehicles with Park Distance Control (PDC): Remove ultrasonic sensors. See FRONT SENSOR (CENTER) , FRONT RIGHT SENSOR , and FRONT LEFT SENSOR .
Remove protective caps for towing eyes

Install cover (2) for ornamental grille.

Fully remove bridges (1) from cover (2).

Mount cover (1) on bumper trim.

NOTE: Make sure component is correctly seated on latch mechanisms (2) and tabs (3).

Fasten cover (1) with clamps (2).

NOTE: Clamps (2) must fully press cover (1) against bumper trim.
