51 43 010 Removing and installing/replacing rear left or right upper side trim section

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

• Remove panel for storage box  (See 51 16 235 REMOVING AND INSTALLING PANEL FOR REAR STORAGE BOX )
• Remove cover for side trim upper section  (See 51 43 027 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING COVER ON SIDE TRIM PANEL UPPER SECTION ON LEFT OR RIGHT )
• Remove trim for rear speaker  (See 65 12 020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SPEAKER (WOOFER IN SIDE TRIM PANEL) )

Release screws in area (1).

Release screws (1) on side trim (2).

Detach door seal (1) in cover area of side trim (2).

Unscrew bolt (3).

Pull off side trim (2) towards top.

Installation: 

Make sure side trim (2) is correctly seated in clip (4).

Installation: 

Following parts of side trim panel (6) must not be damaged or missing:

1. Clip
2. Locator, screw to B-pillar
3. Locator, screw to luggage compartment partition, top
4. Retaining hooks
5. Screw locator for speaker trim
