51 16 235 Removing and installing panel for rear storage box
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove lid on rear storage box (See 51 16 239 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LID ON REAR STORAGE BOX )
- Remove panel for storage box upper section (See 51 16 236 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING PANEL FOR STORAGE BOX UPPER SECTION AT REAR )
Version with telephone:
- Remove emergency call button (See 61 31 176 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING EMERGENCY CALL BUTTON )
Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 54 31 1AZ. (See BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES )
Lever out cover (1) and release screws underneath.
Installation:
Catches (1 and 2) on cover (3) must not be damaged.
Release expansion rivets (1).
Pull up cover (2) slightly and unclip in upward direction.
Installation:
Following parts of cover (3) must not be damaged or missing:
- Catches
- Mounts for expansion rivet
NOTE:
Seat removed for purposes of clarity.
Lever out plugs (1) on left/right and release screws underneath.
If necessary, disconnect plug connection for microswitch (2).
Disconnect plug connection (3).
Lever out panel (4) in upward direction and remove.
Installation:
Catches (5) must not be damaged
