11 62 143 Removing and installing / replacing both right exhaust manifolds (M73)

Remove exhaust pipes, 18 31 015 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING RIGHT EXHAUST TAILPIPES (M73) .

Remove pipe for secondary air induction, refer to 11 72 192 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / SEALING OR REPLACING PIPE FOR SECONDARY AIR INDUCTION (CYLINDER BANK 1-6) (M73) 

Unfasten bottom nut in exhaust manifold (1) for cylinders 1 to 3. Remove exhaust manifold.

Installation: 

1. Coat thread with -CRC- copper paste.
2. Replace nuts.
3. Tightening torque, refer to ENGINE - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Unfasten top screw in heat baffle plate on starter motor.

Unfasten nut from heat baffle plate on starter motor.

Unfasten lower screw from heat baffle plate on starter motor. Remove heat baffle plate.

Unfasten upper nut from exhaust manifold in cylinders 4 to 6, remove heat baffle plate (1) and unfasten lower nut.

Installation: 

1. Coat thread with -CRC- copper paste.
2. Replace nuts.
3. Tightening torque, refer to ENGINE - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Installation: 

1. Fit gaskets (1) with smooth side facing the cylinder head.
