Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing
Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:
-- Check the heater and A/C unit for contamination, via the installation slot -C- (with the cover -B- installed).
-- If cleaning the heater and A/C unit is required, remove the bolts -A- and remove the cover -B- for the heat exchanger.
-- Check the foam seal -D- (if equipped) for damage and correct bonding via the installation slot -C- (with the cover -B- installed).
-- Vehicles with A/C system High (PR number 9AQ): remove the bracket for the Right Rear Air Door Motor -V240-. Refer to BRACKET FOR Right Rear Air Door Motor -V240-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- If the foam seals -B and C- are damaged or not bonded correctly, they may loosen when moving the Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35-, and depending on the setting, may cause problems in the separation and control of vent temperatures from the left to right side as well as between the front and rear. Noises can also result.
- If the foam seals -B and C- are not bonded correctly or damaged, bond it firmly or replace it. Refer to Parts Information.
-- Check the foam seal -D- on the Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35- -B- for damage and correct bonding.
- If the foam seal -D- are damaged or not bonded correctly, they may loosen when moving the Auxiliary Heater Heating Element -Z35-, and depending on the setting, may cause problems in the separation and control of vent temperatures of the front and rear vent temperature sensors. Noises can also result.
- If the foam seal -D- is not bonded correctly or damaged, bond it firmly or replace it. Refer to Parts Information.
