NOTE:

Always refer to appropriate wiring diagram when performing electrical repairs.

Removing Seat Element

-- Remove seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, MANUAL .

-- Disconnect electrical wiring to seat.

-- Remove plug connector from seat frame.

-- Open locking tabs, pull out wires -a- for seatback element.

-- Cut element at -c-.

-- Remove section -b-, with connecting wire.

Section -a- remains on padding.

-- Glue replacement element onto seat.

Removing Seatback Element

-- Remove seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT, MANUAL .

-- Disconnect wiring for seatback element.

-- Remove seatback. Refer to FRONT BACKREST ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .

-- Remove seatback cover. Refer to Front Seatback .

-- Cut glued backrest element as shown.

Dimension -a- = approx. 8.0 cm (3.15 in.)

-- Remove cut section with electrical connector.

Installing Seatback Element

-- Glue replacement element onto seat.

Removing Rear Seat Element

-- Remove rear seat bench.

-- Pull connecting wires for malfunctioning heat element out of harness connector.

-- Fold back left or right half of cover, depending on repair.

-- Cut element at -arrow-.

Installing Rear Seat Element

-- Glue replacement element onto seat.

Removing Rear Seatback Element

-- Remove rear seat. Refer to REAR BACKREST ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .

-- Remove rear backrest. Refer to REAR BACKREST ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .

-- Pull connecting wires for malfunctioning heat element out of harness connector.

-- Fold back left or right half of cover, depending on repair.

-- Cut glued backrest element as shown.
