NOTE:
Constant velocity (CV) joints are packed G-6 with grease.
Outer CV joints:

Re-grease the joints, if necessary, when replacing the CV joint boots.
- Circlip
- Remove and install with standard circlip pliers
- Gasket
- Always replace, remove protective backing and install on CV joint
- CV joint, inner
- 108 mm (4.2 in.) outer diameter
- Replace only as complete assembly

- Boot with cap
- With vent hole
- Check for cracks and abrasion
- Drive off gently with mandrel
- Before assembling, seal with -D3- on face of CV joint
- Splined shaft
- Different lengths for left and right sides
- Clamp
- Always replace

- When assembling, install in ring groove on shaft (not visible when CV joint is installed)

- To install, drive CV joint onto shaft with plastic hammer, engage up to circlip
