Air Distribution Housing, Front Air Ducts

  1. Right A-Pillar Trim Panel with Vent
  2. Right Side Defroster Vent
  3. Instrument Panel
  4. Right Instrument Panel Vent (with Cover or Front A/C Display Control Head 5 -E778-)
  5. Right Center Instrument Panel Vent (with Front A/C Display Control Head 4 -E777-)
  6. Center Instrument Panel Vent (with Front A/C Display Control Head 3 -E776-)
  7. Air Duct with Right Side Window Defroster Door Motor -V410-
  8. Air Duct
    • To the right instrument panel vent
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT PANEL .
      NOTE:

      With a plug or Right Vent Temperature Sensor -G151-

  9. Air Duct to Center Instrument Panel Vents
  10. Air Duct to Instrument Panel Vents
  11. Heater and A/C Unit
  12. Plug
    • For equipment versions without glove compartment cooling
    • Secure a loose plug with a clamp. Refer to Fig 2
      NOTE:

      Introduction of glove compartment cooling not yet been finalized.

      Depending on the version, the connection can also be directly sealed on the heater and A/C unit.

  13. Right Footwell Vent Air Duct, Front Passenger Side
  14. Screw or Clip
    • Screw tightening specification: 1.5 Nm
    • Not on all versions
  15. Screw or Clip
    • Screw tightening specification: 1.5 Nm
  16. Left Footwell Vent Air Duct, Driver Side
  17. Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor -G192-
    • Vehicles and with an automatic climate control system
    • Improperly installed vent temperature sensors or plugs cause flow-generated noise
    • Plug on vehicles and with a manual climate control system
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor -G192-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
      NOTE:

      Installed in the "right footwell" vent duct on right-hand drive vehicles.

  18. Air Duct to Center Defroster Vent
  19. Air Duct with Left Side Window Defroster Door Motor -V409-
  20. Air Duct
  21. Left Vent Temperature Sensor -G150-
    • Only on vehicles and with an automatic climate control system
    • Improperly installed vent temperature sensors or plugs cause flow-generated noise
    • Plug on vehicles and with a manual climate control system
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to LEFT/RIGHT VENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR -G150- / -G151-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
      NOTE:

      Instead of the Left Vent Temperature Sensor -G150-, the Right Vent Temperature Sensor -G151- is installed behind the instrument cluster on right-hand drive vehicles. It is located on the right side of the vehicle.

  22. Left Center Instrument Panel Vent (with Front A/C Display Control Head 2 -E775-)
  23. Left Instrument Panel Vent (with Cover or Front A/C Display Control Head 1 -E774-)
  24. Left Side Defroster Vent
  25. Left A-Pillar Trim Panel with Vent
  26. Center Defroster Vent
  27. Center Speaker Trim

Plug for Glove Compartment Cooling

-- A loose plug -3- must be secured on the heater and A/C unit -1- with a hose clamp -2-. Hose clamps.
