1. Right A-Pillar Trim Panel with Vent
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to OVERVIEW - A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL .
2. Right Side Defroster Vent
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to SIDE DEFROSTER VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
3. Instrument Panel
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT PANEL .
4. Right Instrument Panel Vent (with Cover or Front A/C Display Control Head 5 -E778-)
   • Instrument Panel Vent, Removing and installing. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING  and OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT PANEL .
   • Cover/Front A/C Display Control Head 5 -E778-, Removing and Installing. Refer to RIGHT KNOB FOR SEAT HEATING (AND NECK HEATING) ON Front A/C Display Control Head 5 -E778-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
5. Right Center Instrument Panel Vent (with Front A/C Display Control Head 4 -E777-)
   • Instrument Panel Vent, Removing and installing. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING  and OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT PANEL .
   • Front A/C Display Control Head 4 -E777-, Removing and Installing. Refer to KNOB FOR AIR DISTRIBUTION ON Front A/C Display Control Head 4 -E777-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
     NOTE:

     The layout for the Front A/C Display Control Head 2 -E775- and the Front A/C Display Control Head 4 -E777- is different depending on the vehicle version. Refer to OVERVIEW - DISPLAY CONTROL HEADS, VEHICLES WITH MANUAL CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM  or OVERVIEW - DISPLAY CONTROL HEADS, VEHICLES WITH AUTOMATIC CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM .

6. Center Instrument Panel Vent (with Front A/C Display Control Head 3 -E776-)
   • Instrument Panel Vent, Removing and installing. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING  and OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT PANEL .
   • Front A/C Display Control Head 3 -E776-, Removing and Installing. Refer to PRESET KNOB FOR TEMPERATURE (AND A/C SYSTEM OPERATION) ON Front A/C Display Control Head 3 -E776-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
7. Air Duct with Right Side Window Defroster Door Motor -V410-
   • Air Duct with Right Side Window Defroster Door Motor -V410-, Removing and Installing. Refer to RIGHT AIR DUCT WITH Right Side Window Defroster Door Motor -V410-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
   • Right Side Window Defroster Door Motor -V410-, Removing and Installing. Refer to Right Side Window Defroster Door Motor -V410- WITH Right Front Defroster/Upper Body Vent Shut-Off Door Motor Position Sensor -G317-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
8. Air Duct
   • To the right instrument panel vent
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT PANEL .
     NOTE:

     With a plug or Right Vent Temperature Sensor -G151-

9. Air Duct to Center Instrument Panel Vents
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL VENT AIR DUCTS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
10. Air Duct to Instrument Panel Vents
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT PANEL .
11. Heater and A/C Unit
    • There are different versions.
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to HEATER AND A/C UNIT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
12. Plug
    • For equipment versions without glove compartment cooling
    • Secure a loose plug with a clamp. Refer to Fig 2
      NOTE:

      Introduction of glove compartment cooling not yet been finalized.

      Depending on the version, the connection can also be directly sealed on the heater and A/C unit.

13. Right Footwell Vent Air Duct, Front Passenger Side
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to FRONT PASSENGER SIDE FOOTWELL VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
14. Screw or Clip
    • Screw tightening specification: 1.5 Nm
    • Not on all versions
15. Screw or Clip
    • Screw tightening specification: 1.5 Nm
16. Left Footwell Vent Air Duct, Driver Side
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to DRIVER SIDE FOOTWELL VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
17. Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor -G192-
    • Vehicles and with an automatic climate control system
    • Improperly installed vent temperature sensors or plugs cause flow-generated noise
    • Plug on vehicles and with a manual climate control system
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to Footwell Vent Temperature Sensor -G192-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
      NOTE:

      Installed in the "right footwell" vent duct on right-hand drive vehicles.

18. Air Duct to Center Defroster Vent
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to DEFROSTER VENT AIR DUCT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
19. Air Duct with Left Side Window Defroster Door Motor -V409-
    • Air Duct with Left Side Window Defroster Door Motor -V409-, Removing and Installing. Refer to LEFT AIR DUCT WITH Left Side Window Defroster Door Motor -V409-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
    • Left Side Window Defroster Door Motor -V409-, Removing and Installing. Refer to Left Side Window Defroster Door Motor -V409- WITH Left Front Defroster/Upper Body Vent Shut-Off Door Motor Position Sensor -G318-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
20. Air Duct
    • To the left instrument panel vent
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT PANEL .
21. Left Vent Temperature Sensor -G150-
    • Only on vehicles and with an automatic climate control system
    • Improperly installed vent temperature sensors or plugs cause flow-generated noise
    • Plug on vehicles and with a manual climate control system
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to LEFT/RIGHT VENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR -G150- / -G151-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
      NOTE:

      Instead of the Left Vent Temperature Sensor -G150-, the Right Vent Temperature Sensor -G151- is installed behind the instrument cluster on right-hand drive vehicles. It is located on the right side of the vehicle.

22. Left Center Instrument Panel Vent (with Front A/C Display Control Head 2 -E775-)
    • Instrument Panel Vent, Removing and installing. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING  and OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT PANEL .
    • Front A/C Display Control Head 2 -E775-, Removing and Installing. Refer to PRESET KNOB FOR FRESH AIR BLOWER SPEED (AND A/C SYSTEM OPERATION) ON Front A/C Display Control Head 2 -E775-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
      NOTE:

      The layout for the Front A/C Display Control Head 2 -E775- and the Front A/C Display Control Head 4 -E777- is different depending on the vehicle version. Refer to OVERVIEW - DISPLAY CONTROL HEADS, VEHICLES WITH MANUAL CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM  and OVERVIEW - DISPLAY CONTROL HEADS, VEHICLES WITH AUTOMATIC CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM .

23. Left Instrument Panel Vent (with Cover or Front A/C Display Control Head 1 -E774-)
    • Instrument Panel Vent, Removing and installing. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING  and OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT PANEL .
    • Cover/Front A/C Display Control Head 1 -E774-, Removing and Installing. Refer to LEFT KNOB FOR SEAT HEATING (AND NECK HEATING) ON Front A/C Display Control Head 1 -E774-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
24. Left Side Defroster Vent
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to SIDE DEFROSTER VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
25. Left A-Pillar Trim Panel with Vent
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to OVERVIEW - A-PILLAR TRIM PANEL .
26. Center Defroster Vent
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to FRONT CENTER VENT (DEFROSTER VENT), REMOVING AND INSTALLING  and OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT PANEL .
27. Center Speaker Trim
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to OVERVIEW - INSTRUMENT PANEL .

-- A loose plug -3- must be secured on the heater and A/C unit -1- with a hose clamp -2-. Hose clamps.
