Driveshaft Flange Seal, Replacing, A1: Installing
-- Before installation, lightly coat the new sealing ring with the All Wheel Drive Clutch Oil on the outside circumference and between the sealing lips.
-- Drive in the new sealing ring to the stop using the : T10019 . Do not tilt the seal when doing this.
-- Install the flange/driveshaft using the : 30-20 .
-- Install and tighten new nuts using Locking Compound: D 000 600 . Tightening specification. Refer to -item 7- OVERVIEW - ALL WHEEL DRIVE CLUTCH, GENERATION IV.
A - M10 x 20 bolt
B - M8 x 15 Bolt (installed in the : 3415 from the rear)
-- Attach the driveshaft to the rear final drive. Refer to DRIVESHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, AUDI A1 QUATTRO .
-- Align the center bearing in the oblong holes so that neither the driveshaft nor the center bearing are under stress.
-- Tighten the center bearing combi bolts -1-.
-- Install the rear section of the exhaust system and align it so it is free of tension. Refer to OVERVIEW - MUFFLER (2.0L 4V TFSI Engine; EA 888 Generation II, As of 01.2018), OVERVIEW - MUFFLER (2.0L 4V TFSI Engine; EA 888 Generation III, As Of 12.2017), or OVERVIEW - MUFFLER (2.0L 4V TFSI Engine; EA 888 Generation II, As of 09.2016) .
-- Install the fuel tank. Refer to INSTALLING .
-- Install the tunnel crossmember. Refer to UNDERBODY TRIM PANEL .
-- Check the oil level in the all wheel drive clutch. Refer to ALL WHEEL DRIVE CLUTCH OIL LEVEL, CHECKING .
