Oil Pan Upper Section, Removing And Installing: Removing

The engine is removed and secured to the engine/transmission holder, refer to ENGINE, SECURING ON ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION HOLDER .
Engine oil is drained, refer to appropriate service information

-- Remove the lower timing chain cover, refer to LOWER TIMING CHAIN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the oil pump drive chain and the high pressure pump, refer to OIL PUMP AND HIGH PRESSURE PUMP DRIVE CHAIN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the belt pulley side sealing flange, refer to SEALING FLANGE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, BELT PULLEY SIDE .

-- Remove the oil pump, refer to Removing .

-- Disconnect the connector -1- from the Oil Pressure Regulation Valve -N428-.

NOTE: Ignore item -2-.

-- Loosen and remove the bolts in the following sequence: -12 to 1-.

-- Loosen the oil pan upper section carefully from the adhesive then push it off the alignment sleeves and remove it.
