Overview - Flywheel And Dual Clutch

  1. Flywheel
    • Refer to appropriate service information because there are different versions depending on the date of manufacture.
    • Removing and installing, refer to Removing .
  2. Clutch Cover
    • There are different versions depending on the date of manufacture, with or without a thrust washer (-item 7-  7), allocation .
    • Removing, refer to DSG CLUTCH, REMOVING .
    • Installing, refer to DUAL CLUTCH, INSTALLING .
  3. Bolt
    • Tightening specification and sequence, refer to Fig 2
  4. O-Ring
    • Replacing
  5. Dual Clutch
  6. Transmission Housing
  7. Thrust Washer
    • depending on the date of manufacture, clutch cover allocation .
  8. Ball Bearing
  9. Locking Ring
    • Replacing
    • For ball bearing
  10. Locking Ring
    • Replacing
    • For the dual clutch
  11. Shaft Seal
  12. Bolt
    • 60 Nm
    • Replacing

-- Tighten the bolts in three steps in the sequence shown:

Step Bolts Tightening Specification
1. -1 to 5- Install by hand evenly until the bolt head contact the clutch cover.
2. -1 to 5- Tighten one after the other in 90° steps until the clutch cover contact the transmission housing.
3. -1 to 5- 10 Nm
