Reducing Agent Tank, Draining

Procedure

Follow all safety precautions, refer to SCR SYSTEM SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .

Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions, refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Open the fuel filler door.

-- Remove cover -2- from the reducing agent filler tube

NOTE:

Ignore item -1-.

-- Remove bolts and nuts -arrow-, remove the cover for the reducing agent tank.

WARNING:

The reducing agent can cause skin irritation.

Avoid contact with skin and eyes! Always wear protective gloves and safety glasses.
If reducing agent should get on your skin, wash it off immediately with soap and water.
If reducing agent gets in your eye, rinse the eye for several minutes with water.
Never inhale or swallow the reducing agent!
Should you swallow any reducing agent, rinse your mouth, drink plenty of water and contact a doctor immediately.

-- Place the drip tray underneath.

-- Remove cap -1- from the reducing agent tank, refer to REDUCING AGENT DELIVERY LINE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Connect assisting hose -2- to connector, drain the reducing agent into the drip tray.

-- Seal the open lines and connections with clean plugs from the Engine Bung Set VAS6122.

After filling, the following steps must be performed.

-- Adapting adaptation value after draining reducing agent or replacing components, refer to SELECTIVE CATALYTIC REDUCTION- ADAPTATION VALUE, RESETTING .
