Selector Mechanism, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - SELECTOR MECHANISM .

NOTE:

Lubricate the ball socket on the selector lever cable with Polycarbamide Grease G 052 142 A2 before installing.

Do not bend or kink the selector lever cable.

Do not bend selector shaft lever when pressing on, otherwise shift mechanism can no longer be adjusted exactly.

-- Install the bracket for selector lever cable. Refer to OVERVIEW - SELECTOR LEVER CABLE

-- Adjust the selector lever cable. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECKING AND ADJUSTING .

-- Check the selector mechanism. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, CHECKING .

-- Install the front muffler or the front exhaust pipe. Refer to FRONT MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING for engine code CALA, FRONT MUFFLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING for engine codes CCBA, CGXC, CTUB, or FRONT EXHAUST PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING for engine codes CAED, CAEB, CPMB, CPMA. .

-- Install the front ashtray. Refer to FRONT ASHTRAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install the Multimedia System Control Head -E380-. Refer to Multimedia System Control Head -E380-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
