Overview - Selector Mechanism

- Before work is done with the engine running, move the selector lever into "P" and press the parking brake button to engage the electromechanical parking brake.
Before disassembling the selector mechanism, perform check. Refer to SELECTOR MECHANISM, CHECKING .

- Trim Ring

- Selector Lever Boot

- Clamp
- For securing the selector lever handle to the selector lever

- Selector Mechanism Function Unit
- Can only be replaced as a unit

- Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-
- Removing and installing. Refer to Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Transmission Park Selector Switch -F305-
- Consists of two micro-switches on the circuit board on the Shift Lock Solenoid - N110-.
- Can only be replaced together with the Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-. Refer to Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- Noise Insulation
- Not on all vehicles.
- Lock Washers
- For securing the noise insulation to the shift mechanism function unit
- Quantity: 4
- Replacing
- Clip
- Secure the selector lever cable to the selector mechanism function unit
- O-Ring
- Replacing

- Do not bend
- Different versions depending on the vehicle.

- Lubricate the ball socket lightly with Polycarbamide Grease G 052 142 A2 before installing.
- Closure Cap
- Via the Shift Lock Solenoid -N110-
