Installing

NOTE:

A new hood lock is always delivered with the release cable -2- installed.

-- Connect the release cable -3- in the hood lock -1- in direction of -arrow c- and lock in direction of -arrow b-.

-- Install the lid latch -1- in the lock carrier in direction of -arrow a-.

-- Connect the harness connector -7- for the engine hood contact switch depending on the optional equipment.

-- Bolt tightening specification -4- : 12 Nm

-- Bolt tightening specification -6- : 12 Nm

-- Push the caps -5- onto the bolts -4- in direction of -arrows d-.

-- Install the release cable -2- in the release cable coupling. Refer to RELEASE CABLE, DISCONNECTING .

-- Adjust the latch. Refer to HOOD LATCH, ADJUSTING .

Before closing the hood, test the function of the release lever and release cable.
