Catalytic Converters, Removing And Installing: Installing

NOTE:

Replace gaskets and self-locking nuts.

Coat the stud bolts with Hot Bolt Paste:G 052 112 A3  .

During installation, all cable ties must be installed at the same location.

-- First place the >>lower<< catalytic converter of exhaust bank 1 in the installation position. Then install the catalytic converter for exhaust bank 2.

Installation is performed in reverse order of removal, while noting the following: 

-- Fasten the driveshaft on the front final drive. Refer to appropriate service information. .

-- Install the transmission support. Refer to TRANSMISSION SUPPORT AND BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING [For transmission(s) 0C8] .

-- Install the heated oxygen sensors. Refer to OXYGEN SENSORS .

-- Install the Throttle Valve Control Module -J338-.

-- Install the exhaust system free of tension. Refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM, INSTALLING WITHOUT TENSION .

-- On a vehicle with air suspension, deactivate vehicle lift mode. Refer to appropriate service information. .
