Headlamp Housing Mount, Removing And Installing: Installing

Tightening specification, refer to OVERVIEW - HEADLAMP, HEADLAMP MOUNT THROUGH MY 2012 , OVERVIEW - HEADLAMP, HALOGEN HEADLAMPS, THROUGH MY 2012 and OVERVIEW - HEADLAMP, HID HEADLAMPS THROUGH MY 2012 .

-- For vehicles from MY 2013, check the adjusting nut -2- on the adjusting mechanism -1- for ease of movement -arrows-.

-- Turn the adjusting nut all the way down, but to not tighten it.

-- Push the headlamp housing all the way into the housing mount.

The headlamp housing must slide into the mount gently without using force.

-- Install the headlamp housing -3- and bracket onto the lock carrier and the fender.

-- Install the screws -1, 2, 4 and 5- hand-tight.

The guide tab -arrow B- on the headlamp housing bracket -1- must fit into the opening on the lock carrier -3-.

The guides -2- and -4- must fit into the mounts -arrow A-.

-- Install the front bumper cover, refer to FRONT BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / OVERVIEW - FRONT BUMPER COVER .

-- Align the headlamp housing gap -1- dimensions according to the body contours.

Gap dimension = even gap dimension.

-- If height adjustment is required, loosen the bolts and twist the adjusting nuts -2-.

-- Tighten the bolts -3 through 7-.

NOTE:

On vehicles from MY 2013: Tightening the bolt -4- automatically turns the adjusting nut on adjuster towards the mounting point and secures it.

-- Check gap dimensions again. If necessary, repeat the adjustment of the gap dimensions as described above.

-- Tighten the bolts -1 through 4- while aligning the headlamp housing so that it sits flush with the out edge of the fender.

-- Remove the front bumper cover, refer FRONT BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / OVERVIEW - FRONT BUMPER COVER .

-- Tighten the bolt -5-.

-- Install the front bumper cover, refer to FRONT BUMPER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / OVERVIEW - FRONT BUMPER COVER .

-- Adjust the headlamp, refer to HEADLAMP, ADJUSTING .
