Right Seal, Replacing

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Seal Installer - Flange Shaft: T10049 
• Puller - Crankshaft/Power Steering Seal: T20143 
• Grease. Refer to the Parts Information.

Procedure 

• Transmission installed

-- Remove the right flange shaft. Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH ALL WHEEL DRIVE .

-- Remove the right seal with the : T20143  .

-- Coat outer circumference and sealing lips of new seal with transmission fluid.

-- Fill the space between the sealing- and dust lip -arrow- half way with sealing grease; sealing grease. Refer to the Parts Information.

-- Install the seal all the way in using the : T10049  . Be careful not to tilt it.

-- Install the right flange shaft. Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH ALL WHEEL DRIVE .

-- Check the gear oil level. Refer to GEAR OIL, CHECKING LEVEL .
