Component Location Overview - Seals

The shaft seals -A and B- can only be replaced with the transmission removed. Refer to TRANSMISSION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

The shaft seals -C, D and E- can be replaced with the transmission already installed.

1. Shaft Seal
   • For the input shaft
   • Replacing. Refer to INPUT SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING .
2. Shaft Seal
   • For the left flange shaft
   • Replacing. Refer to LEFT SEAL, REPLACING .
3. Shaft Seal
   • For the right flange shaft
   • Replacing. Refer to RIGHT SEAL, REPLACING .
4. Shaft Seal
   • For the rear flange shaft or transmission output shaft with splines
   • Replacing with transmission output shaft with splines without vibration damper. Refer to TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING, TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT AND SPLINES AND WITHOUT VIBRATION DAMPER .
   • Replacing with transmission output shaft with splines and vibration damper. Refer to TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING, TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT AND SPLINES WITH VIBRATION DAMPER  .
   • Replacing on the rear flange shaft. Refer to TRANSMISSION OUTPUT SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING .
5. Shaft Seal
   • For the selector shaft
   • Replacing. Refer to SELECTOR SHAFT SEAL, REPLACING .

1. Right Flange Shaft
   • Removing and installing. Refer to RIGHT SEAL, REPLACING .
2. Final Drive Cover
   • Replacing. Refer to FINAL DRIVE COVER, REPLACING .
3. O-Ring
   • On the final drive cover
   • Replacing. Refer to FINAL DRIVE COVER, REPLACING .

5. Transmission
   • Removing and installing. Refer to TRANSMISSION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
6. Transmission Output Shaft with Splines
   • With vibration damper; allocation.
   • Replace the shaft seal when replacing the transmission output shaft with splines -D-
   • Removing and installing. Refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING, SERVICING .
7. Transmission Output Shaft with Splines
   • Without vibration damper
   • Replace the shaft seal when replacing the transmission output shaft with splines -D-
   • Removing and installing. Refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING, SERVICING .
8. Dust Ring
   • Replace after removing
   • Replacing. Refer to -item  14- Dust ring (See Figure).
9. Rear Flange Shaft
   • Removing and installing. Refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING , also refer to CENTER DIFFERENTIAL HOUSING, SERVICING .
10. Left Flange Shaft
    • Replacing. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
11. Clutch Module
    • Removing and installing. Refer to CLUTCH MODULE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
12. Bolt
    • For the final driver cover
    • Tightening specification. Refer to OVERVIEW - FINAL DRIVE , see figure 25, -list item 8-. .
