Vibration Damper With Ribbed Belt Pulley, Removing And Installing

Removal

-- On a vehicle with air suspension, activate vehicle lift mode. Refer to VEHICLE LIFT MODE .

-- Remove the front noise insulation -1-. Refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Counterhold the generator ribbed belt pulley nut with a wrench and loosen the bolts -1-.

-- Remove the ribbed belt. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts and then remove the shim -2- and the vibration damper -3- together with the ribbed belt pulley.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Replace the vibration damper bolts -1- and shim -2-.

Counterhold the generator ribbed belt pulley nut with a wrench and with the ribbed belt mounted when tightening the vibration damper bolts.

-- Install the ribbed belt. Refer to RIBBED BELT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
