Overview - Cylinder Head Cover

Seal
- For the cylinder head cover
- Replace if damaged or leaking
Cylinder Head Cover
- Removing and installing. Refer to LEFT CYLINDER HEAD COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING for RIGHT CYLINDER HEAD COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
Grommet
- Replace if damaged or leaking
Seal
- For fuel injector
- Replace if damaged or leaking. Refer to FUEL INJECTOR SEAL, REPLACING .

- For the cap
- Replace if damaged or leaking
Cap
Hose
- For the crankcase ventilation
O-ring
- Replace
Tension Clamp
- Removing and installing. Refer to Diesel Fuel Injection .
Sealing Bushing
- For the fuel rail
Fuel rail
- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to FUEL SUPPLY, INJECTION SYSTEM AND CHARGING SYSTEM CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
- Do not change the angles of the high pressure lines.
- Install the high pressure lines. Refer to FUEL RAIL, HIGH PRESSURE LINES, FUEL INJECTORS OVERVIEW .
Bolt
- Tightening specification. Refer to Tightening Specifications .
Bolt
- Tightening specification. Refer to Tightening Specifications .
Fuel Return Hose
- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to FUEL SUPPLY, INJECTION SYSTEM AND CHARGING SYSTEM CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
O-Ring
- Replace
Injector
- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to FUEL SUPPLY, INJECTION SYSTEM AND CHARGING SYSTEM CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
- Removing and installing. Refer to FUEL INJECTORS .
O-ring
- Replace
Copper Ring
- Replace
Bolt
- 9 Nm
Heat Shield
Bolt
- With seal
- Replace
- Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 2. Refer to Fig 3

NOTE:

Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.

-- Tighten the bolts in three steps and in the sequence shown:

Step	Bolts	Tightening Specification/Additional Turn
1.	-1 to 7-	Install all the way in by hand.
2.	-1 to 7-	8 Nm
3.	-1 to 7-	Turn an additional 90°.

NOTE:

Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn.
