Shift mechanism, removing and installing

Removing

NOTE:
  • The connector - - is also covered by a protective sleeve.

  • The front exhaust pipes should not contact the subframe.

Installing 

Installation is in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Torque specifications for nuts and bolts and whether nuts and bolts are to be replaced, refer to → Shift mechanism, assembly overview  and → Shift mechanism, disassembling and assembling .

NOTE:
  • Should one or more of the braces break off, remove the pieces from shift unit. The shift unit does not need to be replaced if this happens.

  • Do not bend or kink the selector lever cable.
