Ribbed belt drive, assembly overview: Notes

NOTE:
- Before removing toothed belt, mark the running direction with chalk or felt tip marker. A reversed turning direction can cause damage to the belt under operating conditions.
- When installing the ribbed belt, make sure it is seated correctly on the pulleys

- Removing and installing → Ribbed belt, removing and installing

3 - 45 Nm
4 - Generator
- Removing and installing → 27 - BATTERY, STARTER, GENERATOR, CRUISE CONTROL
5 - 43 Nm
6 - Cover
- For idler pulley
7 - 45 Nm
8 - Upper idler pulley
- For ribbed belt
9 - Tensioning device for ribbed belt
- To release tension on ribbed belt, swing using box wrench → Ribbed belt, removing and installing
10 - 22 Nm
11 - Vibration damper
- With belt pulley for ribbed belt
- Removing and installing → Vibration damper, removing and installing
12 - Lower idler pulley
- For ribbed belt
13 - Pulley
- For power steering pump
- Removing and installing → Removing and installing belt pulley for power steering pump
14 - Shim
- Different thicknesses
- After replacing power steering vane pump, A/C compressor or bracket for vane pump and A/C compressor, determine thickness → check alignment of ribbed belt → Ribbed belt alignment, checking
15 - Power steering pump
- For power steering
- Removing and installing → 48 - Steering
16 - 22 Nm
17 - 40 Nm
18 - Bracket
- For A/C compressor and vane pump
19 - Alignment bushing
- 2 pieces
- Ensure they are seated correctly in bracket
20 - 22 Nm
21 - Air conditioner compressor
22 - 22 Nm
23 - Alignment bushing

- Check for proper seating
