Luggage Compartment Side Trim Panel, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the the luggage compartment floor.
-- Remove rear shelf -1-.
-- Fold second row backrest -2- and, if present, 3rd row backrest -3- down.
-- Remove the rear cross panel trim. Refer to REAR CROSS PANEL TRIM OVERVIEW .
-- If present, remove tie-down eyes -4-. Refer to TIE-DOWN EYE WITH THE GAP COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove gap cover -5-.
-- Remove C-pillar trim -6- from the body. Refer to C-PILLAR TRIM OVERVIEW .
The C-pillar trim can be left hanging on seat belt webbing -7-.
To remove the C-pillar trim, the wheel housing trim must be removed from body.
In order to remove trim, belt webbing must be guided out from seat belt through trim. That is not necessary when removing trim.
-- Unscrew the screw -arrow- and remove luggage compartment side trim -8- from the D-pillar.
-- If present, disconnect electrical connectors.
