Lower A-Pillar Trim, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

NOTE:

If trim clamps remain in body mounting points, remove these and insert them in trim.

Check clamps for damage or deformation, replace if necessary.

Driver Side

-- Tighten screw -arrow-. Refer to LOWER A-PILLAR TRIM OVERVIEW .

Passenger Side

Here, a clip is installed instead of a screw -arrow-. This clip must be installed.

Procedure for Both Sides of Vehicle

-- Secure the sill panel on the sill. Refer to SILL PANEL STRIP OVERVIEW .

-- Install the door seal lip over the lower A-pillar trim.

-- Install bar piece. Refer to BAR PIECE OVERVIEW .

Driver Side Only

-- Slide clip all the way into operating lever.

-- Push operating lever onto mount in mounting bracket and lock the operating lever.

NOTE:

Ensure clip engages with audibly.

-- Before closing hood, check function of operating lever and release.
