Separating Cover and Padding from Backrest Frame

Removing 

-- Remove the seat bench. Refer to SECOND ROW, 3 PASSENGER OVERVIEW .

-- Remove LATCH caps. Refer to LATCH CAP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove seat cushion. Refer to SEAT CUSHION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the seat heating connector.

-- Remove right side trim panel. Refer to LEFT SIDE TRIM PANEL, OUTER PART, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove left side trim. Refer to RIGHT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove lower right trim on rear side. Refer to LOWER LEFT REAR SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove lower left trim on rear side. Refer to LOWER LEFT REAR SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the handle (entry assistance). Refer to ENTRY ASSISTANCE HANDLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the trim (entry assistance). Refer to ENTRY ASSISTANCE HANDLE TRIM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove headrest cover. Refer to OUTER HEADREST COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the headrests. Refer to OUTER HEADREST OVERVIEW .

-- Remove fastening strips -1-.

-- Remove side airbag -2-. Refer to Driver Side Rear Thorax Airbag Igniter -N201- AND Passenger Side Rear Thorax Airbag Igniter -N202-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolt -2-.

-- Loosen the airbag cable brackets on the backrest frame.

-- Press airbag -1- in direction of -arrow A- upward out of backrest frame.

-- Remove airbag -1- from pocket and re-engage airbag in backrest frame.

-- Remove cover and padding.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

-- Replace the airbag screw. Refer to -item  13- Side Airbag.
