ATF lines and ATF cooler (vehicles with V8 4.2L FSI engine), assembly overview

- Carefully clean all joints and adjacent areas before disconnecting.
- After replacing ATF lines or ATF cooler, check ATF level → ATF level, checking and topping off .

3 - 9 Nm
4 - ATF line bracket
5 - 9 Nm
6 - O-Ring
- Replace
- Insert with ATF
7 - ATF cooler
- Removing and installing → ATF cooler (vehicles with V8 4.2L FSI engine), removing and installing
8 - Bracket for ATF cooler
- Removing and installing → ATF cooler bracket (vehicles with V8 4.2L FSI engine), removing and installing
9 - 9 Nm
10 - O-Ring
- Replace
- Insert with ATF
11 - 5 Nm
12 - O-Ring
- Replace
- Insert with ATF
13 - 21 Nm
- Completely insert ATF lines with new O-rings into transmission as far as stop and then tighten
14 - 29 Nm
15 - 5 Nm
16 - ATF line retaining clip
17 - 29 Nm
