Floor covering, removing and installing

Removing

Removing and installing front left/right seat → Seat, removing and installing .
Remove rear seat bench → Rear seat bench, removing and installing .
Remove glove box → Glove box, removing and installing .
Remove drivers storage compartment → Drivers storage compartment, removing .

Remove side trim → Rear side trim, removing and installing .
Remove grab handles on center console → Center console grab handles, removing .
Remove rear section of center console → Rear section of center console, removing and installing .
Remove footwell vent trim → Footwell vent and footwell vent trim, removing and installing .

Remove footwell vent → Footwell vent and footwell vent trim, removing and installing .

Remove plugs - 2 - (2x).
Remove steering column trim - 1 -.
Remove accelerator pedal stop - 3 -.
Remove trim for accelerator pedal stop - 4 -.

Remove lower left and right A-pillar trim → Removing and installing lower A-pillar trim .
Remove sill panel trim → Sill panel trim, removing .
Remove foot rest → Foot rest and foot rest support bracket, removing and installing .

Unbolt outer seat belt anchorage point.
Flip open flap of cover - 1 - in direction of arrow.
Remove bolt.
Tightening torque 55 Nm

To remove cover - 1 - pull tabs - 2 - (2x) inward.
Pull out cover - 1 - from underneath carpeting.
On models with automatic transmission, remove locking cable at selector housing → 37 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION - CONTROLS, HOUSING

Cut through cable ties - 2 - at wiring harness for front seats - 3 -.
Feed wiring harness - 3 - downward through cut-out - 1 -.
Pull parking brake up as far as it will go.

Cut through cable tie at center console - 1 -.
Move gear shift/selector lever as far back as possible.
Lift rear section of floor covering over parking brake lever.
Pull floor covering backward and lift over gear shift/selector lever.

Fold floor covering lengthwise and remove through door.

Installing

Fold new floor covering lengthwise and place in vehicle.

NOTE:

Floor covering is liable to tear at cut-outs.

Push floor covering forward as far as it will go until hole patterns for accelerator pedal stop and foot rest are aligned.
Press floor covering under parking brake lever.
Carry out remainder of installation in reverse order of removal.
