Yaw Rate-Lateral Acceleration Sensor Replacement

NOTE:
  • Do not damage or drop the sensor as it is sensitive
  • Do not use power tools
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0)
  2. Remove the center console (see CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
  3. M/T Remove the shift lever assembly (see SHIFT LEVER HOUSING REPLACEMENT )
  4. Remove the yaw rate-lateral acceleration sensor (A) mounting nuts

  5. Disconnect the yaw rate-lateral acceleration sensor 4P connector (B)
  6. Check for deformation in the bracket (C) If necessary replace it
  7. Install the yaw rate-lateral acceleration sensor in the reverse order of removal
  8. Do the VSA sensor neutral position memorization (see VSA SENSOR NEUTRAL POSITION MEMORIZATION )
