Removing the Steering Gear Housing From the Steering Column

Partly remove the floor carpet. Remove the tie strap from the intermediate plate.

Turn the steering wheel and remove the screw from the pinion shaft.

Align the car wheels so that they are straight ahead. Lock the steering wheel lock.

Mark the position of the pinion shaft and the steering gear housing.
