Removing the Steering Gear Housing

Position a container under the steering gear housing to collect the fluid.
Remove:
- the left mounting bracket (only applies to left-hand drive cars)
the right mounting bracket (only applies to right-hand drive cars)
- the oil pipes from the steering gear housing. Collect the fluid
- the O-rings
- the pipe bracket
- the right mounting bracket (only applies to left-hand drive cars)
the left mounting bracket (only applies to right-hand drive cars) .
first slide the steering gear housing to the right. Then lift the housing down from the car (only applies to left-hand drive cars) .
first slide the steering gear housing to the left. Then lift the housing down from the car (only applies to right-hand drive cars) .
