Checking the Mounting For the Steering Gear Housing

Clean the mating surfaces for the steering gear housing.

Check and clean the rubber boots.

CAUTION: The rubber boots are bonded onto the steering gear housing and will be damaged if removed.

Install new rubber boots if necessary.
