Checking the Balance When Turning the Steering Wheel

Turning the Steering Wheel To the Right

Start the engine.

Turn steering wheel nearly to the right limit position.

Connect torque gauge 9998081 to the steering wheel screw. Turn the torque gauge slowly to the right. Read off the torque just as the manometer reaches 1.2 MPa  (12 kg/cm2 ).

Turning the steering wheel to the left 

Turn the wheel nearly to the left limit position. Read off the torque in the same way as for the right-hand side.
