Front Exhaust Pipe

WARNING:
The three-way catalytic converter (TWC) may be extremely hot, even after the rest of the exhaust system has cooled.
Applies only to turbocharged gasoline engines
Detach the front exhaust pipe at the three-way catalytic converter (TWC) and at the front mounting. Relieve the load from the pipe by hanging the pipe in a hook.
Remove the mounting for the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) in the pipe bracket.
NOTE:
Do not damage the wiring for the front and rear heated oxygen sensors (HO2S).
Does not apply to turbocharged engines
- Detach the front exhaust pipe at the manifold and from the front mounting.
Relieve the load from the pipe by hanging the pipe in a hook.
NOTE: Do not damage the wiring for the front and rear heated oxygen sensors (HO2S).
Applies to turbocharged diesel engines
- Detach the front exhaust pipe at the turbocharger (TC) and from the front mounting.
Relieve the load from the pipe by hanging the pipe in a hook.
