Assembling the Spring Strut

CAUTION:
If the car is a "Sport" or "Dynamic" version, the spring plates are installed at an angle of 20°. To identify the spring type, see Identifying the Chassis Type

Lubricate the stop using petroleum jelly. Install the stop in the dust boot.
Pull out the shock absorber rod completely.
Install:
- the rubber stop and dust boot
- the rubber on the underneath
- the spring strut through the spring
- the rubber on top
- the upper spring seat
- the mounting
- the upper mounting for the spring strut
- the nut. Finger tighten.
Install the upper spring seat so that the holes in both the spring seats line up.
Carefully release the spring and check that is correctly positioned in the stop at the spring seats.
Use special tool 9995500 and 9995758 . Tighten the nut. Tighten to 65 Nm .
Coat the bearing in grease.
Install dust cover.
Remove the spring strut from the special tool.
