Removing the Shock Absorber

Remove: 

• the side panel. See Removing And Installing Side Panels In the Cargo Compartment .
• the insulation
• the protective cover
• the two nuts.

Raise the car so that the wheels are unimpeded.

Remove: 

• the wheel
• the mounting nut (A) for the shock absorber and the nut (B) for the trailing arm
• the screw for the trailing arm. Support the lower control arm if necessary
• the screw for the shock absorber. Remove the shock absorber.
