Installing the SIPS airbag on the backrest

Position the SIPS airbag on the backrest frame.

CAUTION: The airbag mounting screws must be replaced if the SIPS airbag was deployed. The new screws must be of the same type and quality as the old.

NOTE: If the SIPS airbag has not activated, see Handling non-deployed airbag modules and pyrotechnic seat belt tensioners .

Connect the connector to the seat frame.

Install the screws. Tighten to 3 Nm .

Secure the SRS ignition cable on the support in its original position.
