Signal missing. Permanent fault: Verification

HINT: Proceed as follows:
- Switch off the ignition.
- Switch off all power consuming components such as the courtesy lighting and the radio.
- Connect an ohmmeter between terminal 16 on the breakout box and the battery negative terminal.
The ohmmeter should read approximately 0 Ω.

HINT: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied as follows:
- Ignition off.
- Reinstall the connectors, components etc.
Test drive the car at a speed above 6 km/h. The control module tests the valves and pump motor when speed exceeds 6 km/h.
Stop the car. Do not switch off the ignition.
Connect VCT 2000
Read off the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) status.
Is the status permanent?
