Checking the alternating current

- Ignition off.
- Raise the car so that the front wheels can rotate freely
Connect a voltmeter (in alternating current mode) or an oscilloscope between the terminals in the breakout box as follows:
terminals 6 and 7 (diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ABS-311), left front wheel
terminals 4 and 5 (diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ABS-312), right front wheel
terminals 8 and 9 (diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ABS-313), left rear wheel
terminals 1 and 3 (diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ABS-314), right rear wheel
Ignition on
Rotate the relevant wheel by hand.
NOTE: Check that one of the front wheels is locked when checking the front wheel sensor.
The voltmeter should read a variation in voltage of between 0-2 volts, depending on the speed of the wheel.
