Checking the connectors and components

Ignition off.
Check the air cleaner (ACL) and intake system for blockage according to intake system/leak test .

Check for too high fuel pressure according to.

Check the injectors for leakage according to Checking the injectors .

Check that the engine oil level is not too high and that it is not contaminated with fuel.

Check the front heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) and control module connectors. Check for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation .

Remedy as necessary.
