Installing SIPS bags

Position the SIPS airbag on the backrest frame.
CAUTION:
The airbag mounting screws must be replaced if the SIPS airbag was deployed. The new screws must be of the same type and quality as the old.
NOTE:
If the SIPS airbag was not activated, see Handling non-deployed airbag modules/pyrotechnic seat belt tensioners .
Install the screws. Tighten to 3 Nm .
Secure the SRS ignition cable on the support in its original position.
Install the plastic hose on the backrest support frame.
Install the backrest upholstery according to Installing the SIPS airbag on the backrest .
Install the decals.
Read off and erase any diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
