Installing the steering wheel

Position the contact reel connector between the two lugs (D) on the contact reel.

Route the wiring for the contact reel through the hole in the steering wheel.

Install:

the new steering wheel in horizontal position
the center nut for the new steering wheel. Tighten to 43 Nm .

Connect the connector (C) for the horn.

Install the driver's airbag (SRS). See Airbag driver's side (SRS), replacing .

WARNING: Ensure that nobody is in the car when the battery is connected.

Switch ignition to position II.

Connect the battery negative lead.

Enter the anti-theft radio code.

Set the car clock to the correct time.

Check the function of the horn.

Check that the SRS (supplemental restraint system) indicator lamp lights and goes out after approximately ten seconds.
