WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Volvo S40, 2003 Volvo S40, 2002 Volvo S40, 2001 Volvo S40, and 2000 Volvo S40. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Ensure that the wiring is not trapped, twisted or damaged during installation.
Reinstall the driver's airbag (SRS) in the steering wheel. Install the locking pins (4) on the driver's airbag (SRS) opposite the corresponding hole in the steering wheel mounting plate.
Press the center of the lock pins so that the (5) lock springs in the hole engage in the studs. Ensure that no wiring is trapped.
Check that:
- the steering wheel can be turned easily
- the steering wheel lock functions correctly
- the driver's airbag (SRS) is secure.
