Installing contact reel

Install: 

• the connector for the contact reel
• the contact reel by pressing in the lock pin
• the two screws. Tighten to 2.5 Nm  .

Ensure that the cable is not trapped.

Install the cover on the steering column.

Adjusting the contact reel 

Before installing the steering wheel, the contact reel must be placed in its center position.

When checking the center position, the black dot on the yellow indicator must be directly opposite the center arrow.

If the center position is indicated, it must be possible to turn the inner part of the contact reel approximately 2 turns both clockwise and counter-clockwise from the indicated middle position.

If the center position is incorrectly indicated, it can be adjusted.

To adjust the center position, first turn the inner part of the contact reel counter-clockwise to its limit position, where resistance will be felt.

From this position, turn the inner part of the contact reel clockwise slightly more than two turns.

Adjust the yellow indicator by turning until the black dot is directly opposite the center arrow.

Install: 

• the steering wheel according to Steering wheel module and steering wheel 
• the steering wheel module according to Steering wheel module and steering wheel 
• the date decal for the SRS Airbag according to Fitting the SRS airbag date decal .

Finish according to Installation .
