The following components must always be inspected and replaced if damaged:

The steering wheel
The steering column, all functions
Sun roof
The front windshield and the bonding for the front windshield.

NOTE: PUR adhesive must be used when replacing the front windshield. Carefully remove all broken glass. Also check the ventilation ducts.

Only applies to USA:

NOTE: The brackets must be replaced if the dashboard or the lower panel on the driver's side is damaged. Tighten the new brackets. Tighten to 25 Nm .

The driver information module (DIM), if applicable
The SIPS members in the doors in the event of a side collision
Collision sensors (SRS) B and C-posts in the event of a side collision.

NOTE: Only replace collision sensors (SRS) if these are damaged or if a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) has been stored.

The entire rear seat assembly with accompanying posts and anchorages if these have been affected during the collision.

NOTE: The supplemental restraint system module (SRS) must only be replaced if:

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) SRS-0001 is stored
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) cannot be erased when the car is repaired, there is still a fault in a collision sensor (SRS).

There is mechanical damage to the collision sensor (SRS)
There is mechanical damage to the floor of the car around the collision sensor (SRS). This could weaken the mounting for the collision sensor (SRS).
Remove the collision sensor (SRS). Check that there are no cracks in the mountings. Only replace the collision sensor (SRS) if it is damaged.

Check the WHIPS system for the front seats.

NOTE: The WHIPS system must be checked every time there has been a collision.
