Replacing the dashboard

NOTE: The side ventilation vents are supplied together with the dashboard.

Transferring components to a new dashboard:

Place the dashboard on a piece of cloth with the rear facing upwards.

Transfer the distributor pipe (four screws).

Disconnect the cable harness for the SRS from the dashboard.

Transfer:

the glove compartment (two screws) and bulbs
the central ventilation vent
the vent on the driver's side. See Replacing the ventilation vent on the driver's side
the vent on the passenger side. See Replacing the ventilation vents on the passenger side
the airbag unit (two screws)
the steel nuts
the mounting sleeve in the middle
the cable harness for the dashboard
all the foam filling to the same place on the new dashboard.

Tighten the screws for the SRS airbag. Tighten to 9 Nm .

Install the dashboard according to Installing the dashboard .
