Remove the fan housing

Cars with AC:
Disconnect the AC-pipe in the engine compartment from the support.
Loosen the two screws at the top and the nut at the bottom, and pull the power unit backwards as far as possible.
Remove all electric connections from the fan housing.
Remove the support (if there is any installed in the car) from the instrument panel (2 nuts).
Remove the attaching nuts from the fan housing (3x).
Carefully pull back the housing, and remove it with a twisting movement.
Remove the attachments (4x) and the clip.
Transfer the damper motor, see Replace the Recirculation Damper Motor .
Transfer all dampers, etc.
NOTE:
The dampers are screwed on the shaft. Lubricate the guide.
Install in the reverse order.
Tightening torque for screws: 8 Nm.
Check the seals.
